ETF's

I feel my portfolio is fairly diversified and I
have two mutual funds and a 401(k) I am investing
in. Now I feel it's time to move on to an ETF but
need more information. One, is this a good idea
and more importantly, why is it a good idea? And
two, any suggestions of what ETF I should research
to invest in?Thanks for the information in advance.
